Keene Elm City Rotary Delivers Thanksgiving Cheer for the 19th Year
As Thanksgiving approached this year, members of the Keene Elm City Rotary along with the friends of the Club united once again to embody the spirit of gratitude and community care. In a cherished annual tradition, club volunteers packed and delivered 33 boxes of food to families across Keene, ensuring that everyone could enjoy a warm and plentiful holiday meal.

Marking the 19th consecutive year of partnership with the Community Kitchen, the Keene Elm City Rotary has tirelessly supported local households in need. Each year, these deliveries lighten the load for the Kitchen’s dedicated staff and volunteers during one of their busiest times, while allowing Rotarians to connect directly with the community they serve.

The boxes contained a variety of Thanksgiving essentials—from turkeys and fresh produce to pantry staples—meticulously organized and delivered by a joyful team of Rotarians. For many members, this event stands as one of the most meaningful service opportunities of the year.

“It’s a small way we can make a big difference,” shared one volunteer. “Rotary is about service above self, and delivering these meals reminds us of the true essence of community.”

Beyond providing food, this endeavor fosters connection, kindness, and continuity—a true reflection of Rotary’s mission to build goodwill and fellowship through service. For nearly two decades, this Thanksgiving outreach has impacted hundreds of Keene households, reinforcing the club’s unwavering commitment to compassion and community resilience.
